TIMETABLES

Find your classes timetables for your weeks expedition in the CBD.  It would be a good idea for you to save and print these out as you will need to be at certain places at certain times during the week and you dont want to be late.

TRAVEL

During the week of CBD you will be travelling to and from the city via public transport.  To make sure you arrive in a timely manner to you designated meeting points, please use the link below (PTonline) to plan your travel both to and from the city during your travel weeks.

 

 

If you are running late any day of travel, please make sure that you contact the College Office to inform us of the lateness, this information will be passed on to the respective teachers each day. In this case that you will be met by a roaming teacher or Principal who will be waiting on the steps of Federation Square and escort you to the correct venue.

 

 

Alternatively you may be being supervised by one of the lovely teachers please see details below to make sure you meet at the correct train station and at the right time. If this is the case please make sure that you are at the appropriate station each morning if being supervised to ensure that there is time catch the specified morning supervised Train details below:

6:54am Flinders St Train from HALLAM Station

Travelling on the last carriage.

Students MUST be on time for this train, the group will not wait. If late, they will need to catch the next available train into the city.

 

Afternoon

 

WEEK 1 and 2 Supervised Trains

4.35pm pm Pakenham Line (Leaves flinders street at 4:35pm  Arriving at Hallam Station at 5.27pm Dandenong 5.22pm, Narre Warren 5.31pm

Students MUST be on time for this train, the group will not wait.

If students have activities that finish later than this time, they MUST make arrangements with their supervising teacher to  be at the train on time, or ride an unsupervised train with the other students.

 

 

Note to Parents

It is your responsibility to ensure that your child is picked up from the train station when the train arrives at the end of the day or has another means of getting home. The teacher will be getting off the train each day at Hallam Station and the kids are dismissed from here so if you're running late please contact your child so we are aware

The students will be dismissed from either their final activity or taken back to federation square for dismissal to be able to get on the train at flinders street. If students wish to stay in the city after this dismissal time this is a conversation you need to have with your child as there will not be any staff members in the city

MAPS

Melbourne can be quite confusing, especially if you arent sure where you are going and you arent familiar with your surroundings.  Use the maps below to help decifer and orientate your self with the city.  It would be a great idea to print out the printable versions of map and take it with you on your journey, alternativly you can use your smart device whilst in the city to navigate your way around- a helpful app for this would be google maps.

Wi-Fi in the CBD

Most of us have access to some variety of smart device which has the capability of 3G, however to avoid excess data usage and bills sky rocketting the city of Melbourne have began to roll out the pilot free wifi program.   Currently there is free wifi at Queen Victoria Market, Queen Street/Victoria Street entrance area and all efforts are being made to ensure that access to wi-fi is available at as many of your venues as possible.

 

With Victoria’s free public Wi-Fi, you will:

 

  • be able to access the network outdoors, at street level

  • be able to download up to 250MB per day

  • have no time limits

  • not have to provide personal emails or log-in details

  • not be ‘pushed’ extra advertising from the service

 

HOW TO CONNECT TO THE NETWORK

 

Connecting to the Victorian free public Wi-Fi network can be done in four easy steps:

 

  • Locate your nearest Wi-Fi hotspot

  • Go to the Wi-Fi settings on your mobile device and select VicGovFreeWiFi

  • Follow the prompts on the screen to connect

  • Start using Wi-Fi.

 

No details such as email, passwords, or other personal data, need to be provided to use the free outdoor public Wi-Fi.
